A Theory: Limit to Two Journeys at once
I believe the onset of modern technology and social media voyeurism has led us to wanting more. while everyone should shoot for the stars, perhaps wanting more is not what everyone is meant to have. And worse is - wanting too much, too fast.
I am no exception to this way of thinking. Why would I get up to go for a run for an hour to get that "runner's high" when I can just open my phone and flip through reels and TikToks for two hours? Same feeling, all in the comfort of my bed, and I can get it all now.
But I digress. The whole point of this post is to tell myself to take things slow. Take it easy. Don't aim for too many things at once. So below, you are going to read my extremely messy brainstorming for my goals for the rest of my life. We will start with what I have already accomplished:
- I make $100k a year
- I'm in a loving, long-term relationship
- I have a city apartment
- I am comfortable with myself (for the most part)
- I have pets (4 cats!)
- I finished becoming an LPN, and raised to the highest ranks that I was able to reach with my certificate
- I did all of this by the age of 30
- Get my Bachelor's in Nursing
- Become debt free
- Get out of being on-call / a manager
- Get to a weight of 160 lbs
- Become an expert in my field and write a book
- Work from home with a nurse coach business
- Start a non-profit?
- Start a positive movement?
- Get my Bachelor's in Nursing
- Become Debt Free
